She studied with the "Milongueros of the Old Guard," and with the maestros Todaro, Copes, and Pepito Avellaneda, who made the Argentine Tango famous beyond its borders. The lasting influence on Amira`s tango style came from. The Gustavo Naveira, her feminine technique shaped by Graciela Gonzales. For the tango show "Los Tangueros," directed by Jose Garofalo at the Teatro Nacional Cervantes, she worked as a choreography assistant. As a dancer, she can be seen in Sally Potter`s movie The Tango Lesson. For the last ten years Amira has been living in Europe, making public appearances all over Germany, including in Stuttgart, and Munich, and with the Tango Real Quartet at the Philharmonie of Berlin. Recently, Amira has begun training both male and female tango teachers across Europe. Javier Antar, was introduced to tango during his teens. While studying in university, tango very quickly became a nightly obsession. He took lessons with several well known tango instructors, Gustavo Naveira becoming Javier's most important influence, and the source of his inspiration and learning. Being a tango instructor is much more than just a job for Javier, his ultimate goal is to transmit the pleasure of dancing to his students. His passion is interpreting the music when dancing. Javier has been training in Martial Arts and Gymnastics for 10 years, recently adding Yoga to the mix, he has found Traditional Tango as well as Nuevo Tango. His musicality, grace and elegance make Javier a riveting dancer to watch, his technical knowledge renders him fluent and precise.
